As a first-time user, you can download Citrix Workspace app for Mac from Citrix.com or your own download site. You can then set up an account by entering an email address instead of a server URL. Citrix Workspace app for Mac determines the Citrix Gateway or StoreFront server associated with the email address. Then it prompts the user to log on and continue the installation. This feature is referred to as email-based account discovery.

The automatic update feature automatically updates the Citrix Workspace app to the latest version, without any user intervention. Mac computers running Mac OS X 10.8 and lower should not download and install the Citrix Receiver from the Citrix download site. Download and install our version of the Citrix Receiver (version 11.4.3) HERE instead.
If a Mac computer running Mac OS X 10.8 and lower had an even older client (version 11.2) installed in the past, you may need to completely uninstall the older version before installing version 11.4.3. Otherwise, version 11.4.3 may not work either.If needed, download the legacy version of the Citrix software called Citrix Online PLug-in (web version 11.2) HERE and run the un-install part of the client to remove all older versions first.
If the Citrix Receiver, from the Citrix download page, had already been installed on the mac (and it is now not connecting to our system), download the Citrix Receiver from the Citrix Download page again, but only use the un-install part to remove the client. Reboot the Mac, and then install the latest legacy client (version 11.4.3) from this page.
If enabled, Citrix Workspace will routinely check in the background for new versions and notify you if it finds one. When notified, click on the Download button to download the new version and follow the prompts. All done!
