Sib. 7.0: Colored Notes Posted by Mimi Mansky - 12 Sep 02:01AM Hide picture I just started to color the notes in the different voices; how come I get a "Stop!" message? I followed the instructions in the Index, but couldn't find an explanation. I am using the correct colors; i.e. dark blue for voice 1, green for 2nd voice, orange for 3rd voice, and pink for 4th voice. Thanks in advance,MimiP. S. Am still awaiting the shipment of Sibelius 7.-- Windows 7, 8GB, DDR3, 1TB hard-drive, Sibelius 6.2.0.88 Back to top Allthreads Re: Sib. 7.0: Colored Notes Posted by Bob Zawalich - 12 Sep 04:04AM Hide picture Hi Mimi,How are you coloring the notes? With a plugin? Which one?If so, in Sibelius before version 7, running a plugin always puts up a "Stop" window, which is a way for you to terminate a plugin that might have run away by clicking on the window. You can just ignore that window if it comes up while running a plugin. You can make notes show up in voice colors by using View > Note Colors > Voice Colors; you do not need a plugin for that. All notes in the same voice will be give the voice color, independent of the pitch.-- BobSib 1.2 - 7, Windows 7 Pro SP 1 64 bit, 4 G RAM. Do you have Sibelius 7? I heard it's a big improvement over the present version.Mimi-- Windows 7, 8GB, DDR3, 1TB hard-drive, Sibelius 6.2.0.88 Back to top Allthreads Re: Sib. 7.0: Colored Notes Posted by Mimi Mansky - 12 Sep 01:09PM Hide picture Hi Bob,I'm still using Sibelius 6, but am waiting for the Sib.7that I ordered about 2 weeks ago. What I am trying to do is to learn how to play certain voices on the organ with the LEFT hand, so these are single notes that I was coloring. However, I am drawing brackets over the top of the alto voices. If I could do it on Sibelius, it would be a lot neater, but don't know where to find it. I found something that looked like a bracket or brace on CREATE>LINE, but I wasn't able to move it where I wanted it.Mimi-- Windows 7, 8GB, DDR3, 1TB hard-drive, Sibelius 6.2.0.88 Back to top Allthreads Re: Sib. 7.0: Colored Notes Posted by Mimi Mansky - 12 Sep 05:53PM Hide picture Thanks Frantz,I found another way on Sibelius 6 (I don't yet have Sib. 7 although I've ordered it), to color notes individually so that I can control what I want to do.Thanks for your help.Mimi-- Windows 7, 8GB, DDR3, 1TB hard-drive, Sibelius 6.2.0.88 Back to top Allthreads
